Glass
Replacement
in Kansas City

If a window in your Kansas City home looks foggy between the panes, the seal on its double-pane glass unit has likely failed. That trapped moisture is not just a view problem — it means the unit is no longer insulating the way it should.

Cat in a Hard Hat LLC replaces the glass unit, or IGU, in Kansas City homes without replacing the whole window when the frame is still sound. We also replace cracked and broken glass, so a damaged pane does not have to mean a whole new window.

If a repair will do, we say so.

Straight Answers

When Glass-Only Replacement Is Enough — And When It Is Not

A new glass unit is the right answer — unless the frame itself is the problem.

Glass OnlyWhen glass-only is enough

Glass-only replacement is enough when the frame is solid, opens and closes properly, and is not rotted, bent, or leaking around the frame itself. In that case, a new glass unit can restore a clear view and a proper seal.

Full WindowWhen the frame is done

If the frame is rotted, warped, or no longer sealing, replacing only the glass will not fix the problem — and we will say so. If the frame is done, we will recommend full window replacement instead, in writing before any work starts.

You get a written price either way, with no pressure to buy more than you need.
